Representing the Bay area of Oakland, CA, emerging recording & performing artists, OGUNLANO, are thrilled to announce the video and single release of the duo's long-awaited latest video and single, Akala Kala, on the 'its OGUNLANO' album, slated for an independent release of Summer 2019.

OGUNLANO is an independent World musical duo, comprised of husband and wife, Yoruba Oba (King) and master drummer Oba Tayese and powerhouse vocalist Yeye Ogunlano. Much of the mission of the multi-talented duo is to preserve African culture and traditions that inspire future generations of performing artists within the fields of African visual, recording and performing arts.

A tribute to the African Yoruba goddess of Love, Oshun, Akala Kala combines elements of jazz and blues, mixed with traditional African drumming and percussion, to bring about the sound OGUNLANO coins 'Orisa Beat'. View the Akala Kala video below.
